Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.66 g, 12 h), Brundisium or Rome, circa 29-27. Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. Temple with colonnaded base, architrave inscribed IMP•CAESAR; above, Victory on globe at apex of pediment, holding wreath in her right hand and trumpet in her left; at both ends of pediment, statue of a warrior, each holding spear and sword. BMC 631. Cohen 122. RIC 266. Deposits, corrosion and scratches, and the reverse struck off center, otherwise, nearly very fine.
